April 2025 – My God Has Answered

Last month, we shared the celebratory and joyous news of our daughter, Eliana Grace, being born, and how her name, in Hebrew, means “My God has answered.” For this blog post, we have quite the news to share as well as two videos encapsulating a couple testimonies that our parents were able to share concerning their own lives. We pray that these bring encouragement to you all. Jerome Kaszubowski, (Hannah’s dad), shares about the power of prayer and a personal testimony on May 1st, the National Day of prayer, in front of an audience composed of various people and Carlos and Emily (Christopher’s parents) share at Fellowship Church about their financial testimony.

Again, we ask you all: how has God answered you in your life?

On April 16th, we sent in Eliana’s passport application through an expedited process. On April 30th, exactly two weeks later, her passport arrived in the mail! We cherish the fact that we will have her passport this young, as it will always serve as a token and reminder of our journey as a family with the Lord through the years to come. Although we have her passport, unfortunately we are delayed in our return to Costa Rica until June….(see below).

Unexpectedly in the past 2 months, Christopher’s right shoulder has dislocated 3 times while doing ordinary things. A trip to the ER, an MRI and a few doctor appointments later, I (Christopher) have shoulder restabilization surgery scheduled for Thursday, May 15th. As of now, we find ourselves praying for wisdom for the doctors, that the surgery would go well, and that I would make a full-recovery without any complications or setbacks. In other words, we are trusting God to answer us in this situation, as He graciously has in so many others. Please also pray for Christopher’s orthopedic doctor as we were informed he lost a family member this week.

Concerning our ministry in Costa Rica, our leaders continue to testify of the commitment of a new group of middle schoolers who are engaged, participative, and either open or hungry to knowing and experiencing God. Our team recognizes the fruit from personal and intimate discipleship, and looks forward to the fruit that God will continue to grow in the years to come as La Carpio is reached and transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. This past Saturday, May 3rd, our team had a special day activity consisting of hiking and swimming at a waterfall with the youth and a few young adults (as shown in the photo above). The group consisted of 10 middle schoolers, who are a part of this new group that has advanced from the kids ministry to youth and has been consistent in participating in the ministry, as well as a few other regular teenagers and 3 young adults, who attended as helpers. We look forward to reuniting with our team and continuing to minister with them in person.
